KenLavineI like to describe myself as a 'prosumer photographer' ... the combination of a professional and a consumer. Well, perhaps saying 'professional' is a stretch, but I enjoy it and take more than a snapshooter's interest. And with the advent of the digital darkroom and digital distribution and display, I find that my interest in computers finally complements my interest in photography.

At the age of ten, I was given a Kodak box camera which I used to record family vacations and events, a sort of visual diary. Thus began my lifetime journey exploring photography to capture and share the world around me. The purpose of this web site is to make it easy to continue sharing my work, both old and new, with friends and family.

I employ a quantity leads to quality style of shooting ... shoot enough and some will be ok. However, with the advent of digital photography, and the immediate feedback it affords, my technical skills are improving. Since retiring from a career leading management teams at high technology companies, I've devoted more time to mastering digital photography. Currently, I use a Nikon D70 digital SLR camera with wide angle and telephoto lenses along with Photoshop digital darkroom software.
